The Senior Questionnaire is for students who need counselor recommendation letters for college. Please use this form if your counselor is Mrs. Hamilton, Mrs. Klenk, or Ms. Peterson. Students who have Mr. Venable please see him for his instructions.

Important Dates to Remember!

12th Grade Checklist: Create a personal checklist/calendar with SAT deadlines, college application due dates, financial aid deadlines, transcript and test score deadlines, and letters of recommendation due dates Visit the Career Center at Northwood and take a look at college and career choices! Decide whether you are planning to apply to any California State University or University of California colleges
Decide quickly whether you are applying to any private colleges - See your counselor in the early fall - Attend overnight visits to your top college choices (if offered), as these are one of the best ways to see campus activities, attend classes, and get to know the students on campus - Ask teachers in the early fall for letters of recommendation. The earlier you ask, and the more time you give for teachers to complete your recommendations, the more thorough and personalized your recommendation will be!
In the fall, attend college tours and information sessions Fill out college applications and have your personal essays proofread Observe all college deadlines carefully! Submit your applications Schedule interviews (if applicable) Fill out any required financial aid and scholarship documents Take the CAHSEE, if needed Attended open houses and take tours of community colleges in the area Visit campus websites and apply to community colleges (Irvine Valley College, Saddleback College, OCC, Santiago, Advanced Technology and Education Park-Tustin) Begin applying for internships or other career opportunities Check out the ROP opportunities available!
